Spring Purse Pattern Roundup

Looking for a new spring look? Here are three bag ideas to get you started…

First off it’s My Spare Time’s Pleated Purse (above). This stylish yet substantial tote is the perfect everyday bag. You’ll need a half yard of fabric each for the inside and outside, plus a half yard of interfacing to make the finished 9×12 (ish) inch bag.

For something a little daintier, check out Made By Rae’s Buttercup Bag. This super-cute pattern could easily switch from day to date depending on the fabric choice. Instructions call for one fat quarter each of the outer and inner fabrics, but if you care about lining up patterns, I’d splurge on something larger.

And to go inside… Roly Nester zipper bags from Studio Kat Designs. These nesting zipper pouches are the perfect sizes for a makeup kit, pencil case, and sewing kit respectively and you can make all three with just two fat quarters.

Please note that these designs are intended for individual use. Please obey the wishes of the designer.
