MAKE: Kitchen Cloths Roundup
It’s Kitchen Makeover Time for my new blandy-bland apartment. Here’s a few kitchen projects I’ve gathered to get started…

First up is the sketched flower trivet from the Long Thread. This project requires you to free embroider using your sewing machine. I suggest PRACTICING first!

Quilt your own coordinated potholders with fat quarters and leftover scraps in this cute tute from CRAFT zine.

Such a great idea, Leigh Ann at the Object Project shows you how she transformed a coloring book picture into a super-cute kitchen scrubby.

And finally, oven mitts. These potholder/oven-mitt combos are made with a product called Insul-Bright, ie the shiny metallic stuff on most oven mitts. It protects your digits from the heat.
