I started the Craftathon Daily Digest for folks like me who work a 9-to-5 and get crafty on the weekends.

Granted, there are already tons of great crafting and design ideas out there and thousands of people offering high-quality handmades in the online marketplace. It’s just that there’s a lot of junk and a lot of repeated content out there too.

All of this junk intimidated me and my friends sell at craft fairs. So, when I began to imagine what it must be like for someone who is just looking for a unique Mother’s Day gift or wants something fun to try on Saturday afternoon, I knew what I wanted to do.

Craftathon Daily Fix is for someone who knows how to knit but has no idea what boucle means. Someone who would rather window shop than hunt through online marketplaces. The morning commute knitter and the once-a-year greeting card printer. The person who would sew seat cushions for her dining chairs if she knew where to get great fabric for them (that’s still me).

My goal is to deliver interesting projects and ideas for DIY-types and showcase sellers offering quality unique handmades to the inboxes of regular joes and janes like me. If at the same time, I can give a little boost to the hardcore makers out there, so much the better.
